Plants
The world’s tropical forests are home to an incredible number of plant species. The Amazon Rainforest alone contains overs 40,000 plant species!!!!!! The hot, humid climate in the world’s tropical regions provide ideal conditions for plant life. However, there is a lot of competition for sunlight and nutrients from the trees that cause a canopy blocking sunlight. Plants have to adapt to find their place in the ecosystem, causing some plants to grow faster, some have bigger leaves, and others evolve better defenses against predators. Some plants have also co-evolved with particular animals so that without one, the other would not be able to survive.
